Scarvataing enjoys beautiful uninterrupted sea views and spectacular sunsets

Scarvataing House is situated in an idyllic location and a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area and the rest of Shetland.  It is a very relaxing and peaceful place and ideal for hill and coastal walks, bird watching, sea and trout fishing. There is easy access to the sea shore in front of both houses.  It is habitat to many seals, otters, various sea birds and wildlife.  Sorry but strictly No pets and No smoking.

The village of Aith is within a 15 minute walk.  Here you will find the local Co-op shop and Post Office, Leisure Centre with swimming pool and sauna etc.  There is also a church, local charity shop, children's play park and 'Michaelswood' woodland walk.  The waterfall, the 'Burn of Lunklet' is a 20 minute walk from the house and also the famous Cake Fridge which is a must visit for cakes and coffee! 

A Welcome Pack is provided for you on your arrival, consisting of Shetland produce and home baking. There is a complimentary in-house stock of  tea, coffee and sugar, washing up liquid, washing machine powder, kitchen and toilet rolls are provided. Shetland Soap products are provided to treat your skin.

There are boat trips from the Aith Marina that you can book for sea fishing/discovering the seals, birds etc and the beautiful coastline on the west side of Shetland. There are plenty of lochs nearby for trout fishing.
